[San Diego, CA] - Lola Adeyemo, a dynamic leader and advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, celebrates three years as the CEO/Founder of EQImindset and Immigrants in Corporate Inc. Lola impacted the corporate and DEI landscape with a deep commitment to creating inclusive spaces and supporting underrepresented individuals.
Lola's journey in this industry is deeply rooted in her personal experiences as a professional with multiple "Other" identities working in corporate America. She recognized the need for more support and resources for individuals like herself and was inspired to take action. Her mission is to help others discover and leverage the resources and communities essential for their advancement and thrive in the corporate workplace.
As the CEO/Founder, Lola's responsibilities include being a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) & ERG Speaker, hosting communities, offering corporate ERG consulting, and serving as a career coach. She possesses a diverse skill set that includes public speaking, writing, program planning, and networking, which she skillfully combines to drive change and progress in the corporate world.
Lola finds challenges in locating clients who are genuinely committed to fostering inclusive communities in the workplace beyond mere compliance. However, the most rewarding aspect of her career is the people she connects with – ERG leaders, passionate DEI advocates, and immigrant professionals dedicated to making a lasting impact.
Lola has ambitious goals for the future. She plans to scale her services, including workshops, speaking engagements, and podcast platforms, to support more global corporations in creating truly inclusive spaces for their employees, especially those with multiple minority intersections. She aims to help ERG leaders and immigrants succeed, advance in their desired roles, and receive the recognition they deserve in corporate America.
Lola Adeyemo's impressive educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, a Master of Science in Biotechnology, and a Ph.D. (expected in Spring 2024). She holds certifications as a Certified Diversity Professional (CDP), Project Management Professional (PMP), and Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP). Additionally, she has delivered a TEDx Talk and authored a book. Lola is also an influential speaker, consultant, and podcast host dedicated to supporting immigrants and first-generation professionals.
