[Charleston, SC] - Debra Ohstrom, a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in the financial industry, takes a bold step to empower women through financial education. As a Speaker and Educator, Debra founded her financial education business two years ago, driven by a passion for providing women with accessible and understandable information on finance and investing.
The financial industry has historically been male-dominated, hindering women from accessing the help and education they need in areas like finance and investing. Debra Ohstrom recognized this gap and established her education business to make financial education more accessible to women. On March 6th, she will be a featured speaker on a panel at the Women's REACH conference at the Wake Forest Biotech Place.
Debra's approach involves creating online courses, speaking at various events, and collaborating with corporations, financial advisors, and financial coaches. The emphasis is on providing jargon-free and easy-to-understand investing education to empower women to take control of their financial future.
"Throughout my career in the financial industry, I've focused on long-term investing, and now I want to bring that knowledge to more women in an approachable way. My passion is to simplify complicated topics like investing and demonstrate that it doesn't need to be overly complex to be a successful investor," shared Debra Ohstrom.
Debra aims to bridge this gap by offering relatable examples and analogies. Her mission is to break down the barriers that make financial topics seem daunting and unapproachable.
The most rewarding aspect of Debra's work is witnessing the transformation in her clients. "The most rewarding part is watching a client's eyes light up when they understand the concepts and know they can now be in the driver's seat of their money and financial future," she added.
Debra Ohstrom holds an MBA in Banking and Finance from Hofstra University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). She is committed to sharing her expertise and empowering women through financial education.
Looking to the future, Debra aspires to author a book complementing her workbook available on Amazon. Additionally, she is gearing up to launch her own YouTube channel to reach a broader audience.
